What is Hormone Optimization?

Hormones can become deficient for a variety of reasons including normal biological transitions of life that lead to less-than-optimal body functioning including fatigue, weight gain, constipation, hot flashes or night sweats, cognitive decline, decreased appetite, hair loss, stress intolerance, and low mood.

Working with a nurse practitioner (NP) to replace hormones with those that are like that made by our own bodies (bioidentical hormone replacement therapy or BHRT) can help alleviate symptoms of these respective hormone deficiencies and allow the body to function optimally again.
